• The Lookout

The town of Ladysmith overlooks the sea toward Oyster Cove and Stewart Channel. Ladysmith, one of the oldest settlements on Vancouver Island, was founded at the turn of the century during the Boer War. The community was designed as a recreation and dormitory complex for miners and served as a shipping port for coal from Nanaimo.

• Crystal Springs

Crystal Springs Adult Community is situated on privately owned property, the developer being Commonwealth Homes. The lots are leased to homeowners at the low monthly fee. This fee covers all maintenance costs, from garbage collection and snow removal to landscaping. There are no further strata fees.
